- Book: Color of Law by Richard Rothstein
- Graphic: Becoming Anti-Racist Proximal Growth Zones
- Article: A small venture capital player becomes a symbol in the fight over corporate diversity policies (a very recent example of systemic racism at work)
- Article: The Cost of Code-Switching (an example of the cost of interpersonal racism)
- PD Opportunities: Participants specifically noted digital access and literacy as being a prime source of “poor, rocky soil” for Adult Education students. SABES shared the following offerings specific to this topic. *Links are only accessible by staff members. Please reach out directly to SABES for questions regarding these offerings:

Miscellaneous
Pipe cleaners will be located at each table for use as fidget toys. If you have your own fidgets, please feel free to bring, use and share with others.
You will not need your laptops during the session. In fact, tech is discouraged as we want to fully lean into the in-person experience and focus on building community with one another. You will have breaks around 10:30AM and 2:30PM and a lunch break from 12:00-1:00 to handle outside personal and professional business if needed.
All registered students that attend the entire session will be provided a gift card at the end of the session. Program supervisors that include students on their teams must contact UPD no later than Nov 10 with the number of confirmed students that will be attending.
